       With an abundance of information available on the Internet and other sources, it becomes difficult to sift through the information found to select the correct piece of information.  One of the main distinctions between the amateur researcher and a professional genealogist are the thoroughness and quality in citing evidence.  Professional genealogists never report a genealogical fact--or any information without identifying the source from which that information came.  They cite those sources fully, which means they understand the essential elements of each type of material source they use.  It is impossible to analyze evidence or weigh its reliability without knowing the precise origin of the information.  As we collect the data, we record the sources of the data included and then publish it in various final formats to provide our clients with the most complete and usable end-use product that will become a family heirloom to share with current family members and to pass on to future generations.
